Dr Arash Danesh

PSYCHIATRIST

Dr Arash Danesh is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). He has 17 years of experience in psychiatry across public and private mental health services in Australia and overseas.

His main area of clinical interest is adult ADHD assessment and management. His approach includes comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnostic clarification, psychoeducation, shared decision-making and individualised, evidence-based treatment planning.

Dr Danesh has worked across emergency psychiatry, acute inpatient and community mental health services, consultation-liaison psychiatry, older persons mental health, alcohol and other drug services, forensic and correctional psychiatry, and trauma-related mental health services.

This broad clinical background informs his assessment of ADHD and other mental health concerns, including consideration of alternative or co-occurring psychiatric, medical, sleep-related, substance-related and medication-related factors.

Dr Danesh’s consultation-liaison psychiatry experience has contributed to his interest in the relationship between mental health, physical health, medication effects and psychosocial circumstances. He aims to provide clear information and support patients to participate in decisions about their care.

Dr Danesh provides fully private telehealth psychiatry consultations for adults across Australia. Consultations are available in English and Farsi.
